Is Rasonque available in Saudi Arabia? How families get Rasonque (daraxonrasib)
A plain answer for families in Saudi Arabia, checked against FDA, manufacturer and regulator sources.

Is Rasonque available in Saudi Arabia?
Rasonque (daraxonrasib) is an FDA-approved oral RAS inhibitor for previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer. As of 13 October 2026, we found no public record that Rasonque is registered by SFDA in Saudi Arabia. The legal route is a named-patient request: the treating hospital, on your specialist's request, asks the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for permission to import Rasonque for one patient, using the US FDA approval as the reference. Once approved, Reserve Meds arranges supply through a US-licensed pharmaceutical wholesale partner to the hospital pharmacy. We do not prescribe. We give you a written timeline estimate for your case before you commit.
- Registration in Saudi Arabia: not found in public sources as of 13 October 2026. Your hospital confirms before filing.
- Legal route: Named-patient import request to SFDA, filed by the treating hospital.
- Who applies: a licensed Saudi hospital, on the written request of your treating consultant.
- We give you a written timeline estimate for your case before you commit.
- Medicine price: quote on request. Every case gets a written custom quote before you commit.
What Rasonque is
Rasonque (daraxonrasib) is made by Revolution Medicines. The US FDA approved it on 26 August 2026 for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (pancreatic cancer that has spread) who have received at least one prior systemic therapy, or who are not candidates for multiagent systemic therapy. It is given as a 300 mg tablet taken by mouth once a day.
In the RASolute 302 trial, median overall survival was 13.2 months with Rasonque compared with 6.7 months with chemotherapy. The most common side effects in the FDA announcement were rash, diarrhea, mouth sores (stomatitis), nausea, tiredness, vomiting, belly pain, swelling, lower appetite and bleeding.
At US approval, Revolution Medicines said daraxonrasib had not been approved by any regulator outside the United States, and that the European Medicines Agency had started a review.
The legal route in Saudi Arabia
Because Rasonque is approved by the US FDA, a licensed Saudi hospital can ask SFDA for permission to import it for one named patient. This is often called the named-patient route.
SFDA expects the medicine to be registered with at least one reference regulator, such as the US FDA or the European Medicines Agency. The hospital signs a declaration that it takes responsibility for safe use. A licensed importer signs a declaration covering quality during transport. The patient or a legal guardian gives written consent after the treating doctor explains the benefits and risks.
A different route, SFDA's Special Access Program, is for medicines that have no reference approval anywhere, such as products still in clinical trials. It is run through SFDA's clinical trials department and usually starts with the drug's sponsor. Rasonque does not need that route because it already has FDA approval.
We did not find it in the SFDA public drugs list when we checked on 17 October 2026, so ask your hospital pharmacy to confirm the status in SFDA's system before anything is filed.
Who does what
- Your treating specialist decides whether Rasonque is right for the patient and writes the letter and prescription.
- The hospital files the request and is responsible for giving the medicine safely.
- The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) decides whether to approve an import of an unregistered medicine.
- Revolution Medicines makes Rasonque and decides where it can be supplied.
- Reserve Meds coordinates the paperwork, the US supply through our wholesale partner, shipping and updates to your family. We do not give medical advice.
Documents the hospital will usually need
- A letter from the treating specialist: diagnosis, past treatments, and why Rasonque is needed
- A prescription with the dose and how long treatment should last
- Supporting reports, such as pathology, genetic or laboratory results
- The hospital's request form and its signed declaration of responsibility
- Written consent from the patient or a legal guardian
- Proof of the US FDA approval and the US prescribing information (we can supply these)
Timeline, step by step
- Doctor's letter. Your specialist writes the clinical letter and prescription.
- Hospital request. The hospital pharmacy files the named-patient request with SFDA.
- Regulator decision. SFDA reviews the request and issues an approval or asks for more information.
- US sourcing. Our US-licensed wholesale partner supplies the medicine, and it is shipped with the right temperature controls.
- Hospital receipt. The medicine is received at the hospital pharmacy, which gives it to the patient.
The overall time is our planning estimate, not a promise. The regulator and the manufacturer set their own timelines.
