How to get a comparable second quote
What to send, what to keep back, and how to compare two written quotes.

The short answer
To get a second quote you can compare, send the second service the same medicine, strength, dose, quantity, destination and route as the first, ask for a written, itemised quote and a written timeline estimate, and share only the documents needed to quote. Then compare the two line by line, not by the total alone.
- Send: medicine, strength, dose, quantity, destination and route.
- Ask for: a written, itemised quote and a timeline estimate.
- Keep back: full medical files until you choose a service.
- Compare: line by line, including what is not included.
What to send
- The medicine name, strength and dosage form, exactly as prescribed.
- The dose and how long the treatment is expected to last, so the quantity is the same.
- Your country and the route your hospital expects to use.
- Whether the medicine is to be given at home or in hospital.
This is usually enough to quote. A service should not need your full medical file to give a first quote.
What to keep private for now
In the UAE, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data prohibits processing personal data without the owner's consent, apart from limited cases, gives people the right to ask for corrections and to restrict or stop processing, and sets requirements for sending personal data across borders. It came into force on 2 January 2022.[1]
Share identity documents and detailed medical records only after you have chosen a service, read its privacy notice and agreed how your consent will be recorded.
How to compare the two quotes
- Same medicine, strength, quantity and route on both.
- Shipping, temperature monitoring and clearance: included or not?
- Coordination fee shown separately?
- What is not included, and the validity date.
- Refund terms if the permit is refused or the plan changes.
If one quote is much lower, ask why before deciding. The FDA lists prices that seem too good to be true among the warning signs of unsafe sellers.[2]
Look beyond the quote
US wholesale drug distributors and third-party logistics providers must be appropriately licensed and must report their licensure to the FDA every year to count as authorized trading partners under that law. The FDA publishes the reports in a searchable database that is updated every business day. A listing is not an FDA licence or approval in itself: the licence is issued by the state, and the database helps you see that a company has reported one.[3]
WHO's good storage and distribution practices note that medical products face risks at every stage, from purchasing and storage to repackaging, relabelling, transport and distribution, and that many different people and organizations handle them along the way.[4]
Second quotes and Reserve Meds
You are welcome to compare us with any other service. Send us the same request, and we will give you a written quote, a written timeline estimate and our wholesale partner's licence details. Medicine price: quote on request. Every case gets a written custom quote before you commit.
How Reserve Meds helps
Reserve Meds is a digital health company. Medicines are supplied through a US-licensed pharmaceutical wholesale partner. We coordinate the route with your treating doctor and hospital, prepare the paperwork the regulator or hospital asks for, and arrange supply once approval is in place. Your doctor prescribes and makes every medical decision. You can ask us for our wholesale partner's licence details, and you get your quote and timeline estimate in writing before you commit.
We coordinate access to FDA-approved medicines only. Investigational medicines are only available through a manufacturer's expanded-access program requested by the treating physician; we can explain that route, but we do not supply them. Your coordination fee is quoted in writing for your case before you commit. No hidden charges. We give you a written timeline estimate for your case before you commit.
Ask us about a medicine
Tell us the medicine, your country and a WhatsApp or phone number. We reply within one business day. On WhatsApp we usually reply the same day.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to send my full medical file for a quote?
No. The medicine, strength, dose, quantity, destination and route are usually enough for a first quote.
Why compare line by line?
Two totals can include different things. Line by line shows what each quote really covers.
Is it fine to ask Reserve Meds for a comparison quote?
Yes. We answer in writing with a written quote and a written timeline estimate.
When should I share identity documents?
After you have chosen a service, read its privacy notice and agreed how consent is recorded.
